Lots of excellent stuff about creativity, and barriers to same. It's a discussion of how I work, done better than I would explain it. I would only add the following: 1. It's pointless to try to be creative in a vacuum. Creativity *only* happens when trying to solve a juicy problem. This is true for artists also. They set themselves difficult problems to solve. Like only using blue... 2. The late great Earl Nightingale said that a key step in solving a problem is *not to worry*. The answer will come to you when "when you least expect it". Of course, we soon learn to expect the answer in the shower, on a walk, etc. They are proverbial 3 B's: bed, bath, bus. 3. I like to think about rhythms. Contraction and expansion. We are not robots. We can't force things. But there must be a period of "contraction" (struggle) before the relaxation phase (3 B's) will give us the answer. These are minor additions. A superb video. It was useful for me, because it's very good to get validation that, yes, this is the way other creative people work. And if you think you aren't creative, you're wrong, wrong, wrong :-) Creativity is a skill that can be developed and mastered, like any other.
