I've made many changes to this list. Please consult #509 <https://github.com/leo-editor/leo-editor/issues/509> for the latest changes. It should be possible to make the interface more Leonine. In particular, switching to a new pane should make that pane "active", just as in Leo. There would be little or no needed for the clumsy "outer" plain-text bindings such as 'e' for edit headline, 'd' to delete node. We shall see whether this is practical, but I think it will be.
