Not a ready made solution but might contribute to one: today I found Shortcutter <https://github.com/kiwi0fruit/shortcutter>, which was *"created to solve a simple problem - if you install a python package using pip there is no simple way of creating a shortcut to the program it installs.".* It doesn't talk about icons and associations, but desktop and menu links is a step in the direction of not having to rely solely on distant OS package maintainers for system integration. A couple of years ago a wrote leo/scripts/register-leo.leox <https://github.com/leo-editor/leo-editor/blob/master/leo/scripts/register-leo.leox> (and a companion unregister) to do this for Windows from inside Leo. ((couple years ago? five! wow.)) Maybe the two can be combined in a platform agnostic way. Matt -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "leo-editor" group.
