Which theme are you using? Here is my setup that I use when installing from scratch. (no .leo folder in home)
Settings, Open a Theme File Pick the theme I want to use. I like BreezeDark. Save the file as ~/.leo/themes/BreezeDarkThemeLocal.leo This is the file to edit to change fonts etc. I would recommend using this file alone to make changes.
