Edward, actually I don't use Android emulator. May be an official emulator which is included in Android Studio is a good point to start.
I am also not sure that pydroid is a best option to run Leo on Android. It seem that pyqtdeploy <http://pyqt.sourceforge.net/Docs/pyqtdeploy/introduction.html> is better solution.
