Just delete config/leoSettings.leo and then run it like this:
HOME=$HOME/tmp/blank python launchLeo.py ~/tmp/new.leo
Clever and creative. The prototyping unit test for config settings is free
to use similar tricks. This is the dawn of new era in Leo's horrible
settings code.
