A mental switch has flipped regarding the present work:

1. Time to pay my bills :-) This always calms me.

2. I'll "give" myself about a week for:

a) the present settings work,
b) the next phase of the pyzo in Leo project, and
c) documentation issues.

Mentally allocating plenty of time is a good mental trick. There is no
point in rushing through any of these.

3. It's time to reestablish a life outside of programming. This includes
piano and painting. Rebecca and I are planning to take about a week off for
our annual September trip.

*Summary*

It's pointless to put off life for meaningless deadlines. There will
always be another project or five. It's important, enjoyable and healthy to
balance work and life. It's easy to forget this when so much exciting
stuff is happening.
