I agree with you Matt. As I have documented in this very list, as I have drifted away from Python and textual representation of computing to Pharo and live coding, I'm not using Leo daily anymore and instead I'm putting my effort in building a interactive documentation solution made on top of Pharo and GToolkit. But, as a long time member of this list and a previously obsessive user of Leo, I come here frequently, to find inspiration and companionship in such nerdy topics and searches.

Thanks for all of this,

Offray

Leo has had a single mind providing primary motive force for 20+ years. There are significant and fundamental contributions from other minds gifting their own indelible forms and flavours also, but there is a solid and mature tree trunk for them to stem from.

There is a primary forum for devlopment and user discussions. There are other places too, such as Githb issues, but the mailing list is first-most. This leads a subtle beneficial cohesiveness that leaks into the project and it's members.

The discussions in the whole are mutually friendly, respectful, and helpful. Hurt feels and controversy do happen, but they're not the norm.

This place is interesting! There's a reason I keep coming back, even in those stretches of my life where Leo is not getting daily exercise.

I'm sure there are other non-technical strengths of the Leo project, please do feel free to add. Like clean air and water and a nice house, it's so easy to let the things that nourish and sustain "the work" slide past un- or only lightly acknowledged!
