There is no way to avoid changing Leo's codebase in minor ways. For 
example, PR #4240 <https://github.com/leo-editor/leo-editor/pull/4230> 
changes Leo's mime.py plugin a bit. I chose not to have the plugin use 
mailcap even on versions of Python earlier than 3.13. mailcap is going 
away, and we may as well adjust now.

I'll continue to fix significant bugs, including changes required by 
changed APIs. But that's all:

- All items scheduled for Leo 6.8.4 
<https://github.com/leo-editor/leo-editor/milestone/57> are delegated to 
others.
- Python 3.14 <https://docs.python.org/3.14/whatsnew/3.14.html> isn't 
coming until later this year and isn't likely to break any part of Leo.
