You should use a tool like ldd or nm instead of grep if you want to find the dependencies.
The png and jpeg loading and saving is done through Qt and not the image libraries directly and the gtk functions are inside a comment, they are never called. It's not a big deal since most people will have the image libraries installed already (and they are small) but the gnome package may be pretty big.
