your deduction is correct.

Images created with the GIMP also are under whatever license you choose for
them and NOT the license of the GIMP.

Text files created with your favourite text editor are also not the license of
the text editor and so on.

So you can take leocad, modify it and sell it as long as you adhere to its
license terms.

You can create any model you like with leocad and redistribute them under any
license *you* choose.
