Something like: "show only the pieces of the current step"?

Wasn’t "fading old pieces/emphasizing new pieces" a 
planed/forementioned improvement?

(For now, you can use the sequence "previous step, select all, 
hide, next step".)

Maybe, as a first step or as a "don't FUBAR it" option, only 
allow editing third-party comments?
