I don't know how to modify the autoconfig to do this, but on Mac OS X, I'd
like for it to pass the -prebind parameter to libtool when creating the
shared library. Programs load much faster if all the shared libraries are
"prebound" at link time. Does anybody understand how the configure script
works well enough to make this change?
