So there is no issue with your arch, since it is a i686.

That's a weird packaging, for sure. Those virtual devel provides for the
library seems strange to me. Maybe there is no separate development
package. 

Anyway there are 2 possibilities. Either those rpm have been
packaged for your platform, and the virtual provides exist. In that case
you just need to use your package manager (it is yum on fedora, for
example) to install all the packages corresponding with the
dependencies:

devel(libdl) devel(libexpat) devel(libfontconfig).....

Or you need to rebuild the rpms yourself. There are informations on the
net, and you'd better ask on suse lists. 

As a side note, I am a bit surprised that there is no lesstif or
openmotif package in suse. 

As a second side note it seems that your distribution is not maintained
anymore. Aside from obvious security issues, it may be hard to find
informations, repositories, and so on and so forth.
