Hi, I installed mwm, moved system.mwmrc to ~/.mwmrc, built a .Xdefaults file, using all the help and/or examples I could find online, and yet, when I start mwm, my windows have no decorations and all start in the upper left hand corner. With no title bar, etc., I can't move the windows out of the corner to access the terminal under them, etc. I can find nothing in the example mwmrc or Xdefaults files I've found that sets this behavior.
Mwm starts up and I have two xterm windows, fixed in place, one in the upper left, and on in the middle of the screen. All other applications that I start are stuck to the top left. Also, the cursor spins continuously when I log into mwm, as if it is trying to load something, but whatever it is, it never loads. I would question whether my Xdefaults file is loading, but, the color parameters I set for the xterms are loading. I don't know about the mwmrc. I see no evidence that it is loading. I get no menu. The documentation is too vague on this matter to be of assistance, I'm afraid, or says nothing at all. I mean, it says the options for window decorations, but, it doesn't show a clear example of how to set them. I have used fvwm and the behavior was similar until I borrowed an example fvwmrc and modified it. That one worked. (for fvwm, but, I know longer have that file). I tried stuff like putting Mwm*clientDecoration: +all I tried to set the xterm the same way Xterm*clientdecoration: +all in my Xdefaults, but that doesn't seem to have affected any change whatsoever. I also went into X11/app-defaults/Mwm and gave the absolute path to my .mwmrc, and that doesn't seem to have made any difference, either.
