Something went wrong when packaging the release - a couple of symbolic
links remained in the distribution, they should be files. They point to
the autoconf and automake distributions, these are build tools which you
either don't have or you have them in other places. (Your message suggests
the latter.)

The solution is to run the CVSMake script in the top directory.
If it fails to do its stuff, you may have to remove a couple of symbolic
links manually.
