LessTif is a free implementation of Motif. Motif started its life as a UNIX standard
GUI.
Qt is one of the recent developments in the free software area, it started from
scratch.

You can write GUI applications with both. More alternatives exist, such as GTK+.

Most of the other arguments (such as "Qt or Gtk+ are more flashy") are very subjective
to say the least. Especially arguments such as "XX is easier to use than YY" always
make me laugh.

All these toolkits have a whole bunch of applications written in them. No difference
there. Our list is on http://www.lesstif.org/apps.html

Bottom line : use LessTif, because it's based on an industry standard.
Therefore it's the best :-)

Subject: Qt vs Lesstif

Hello.
I am a beginner in Linux and Lesstif.
I installed with no problems at all the latest version of Lesstif. I ran a
little example and it executed ok.

My question is a very simple one: I know there is another thing called Qt. Can
you please be so kind as to tell me some differences and advanteges of Lesstif
over Qt?

Thanks in advance. And congratulations for your job!!!!!!!
