I see you guys are a bit confused about what to do now that Open Group
released the source of Motif, my suggestion is that you use the code to
learn as much about it as you can and use it to make a better lesstif
package, then you can have your (supposedly more) free version of the
software.
I really wish you good luck, I'm really bored and upset of really crap
C++ resource-eating packages like KDE becoming more popular, just kick
their ass with a cool version of lesstif :)
