We don't currently implement multibyte support.
A little while ago someone reported that he had patches that implement this,
I browsed them and noticed that they add a couple of fields to our widget
data structures.
I'll try and look into avoiding that and still using the patches.
In the mean time, you might be able to use them. The mailing list archives contain
the message at http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00128.html ,
it includes a link to the patches.

I'm a Korean programmer at HP-UX. and I wish to migrate my software
based on Motif to LINUX platform.
Nothing was different with HP-UX. but I can't input my national language
at XmTextField even though presentation is good. It was very well done
at Motif of HP-UX.
What kind of problem do you think?
