I would expect that lesstif should compile on the IA64 as it already
works
on True64 (I think), and  you should have all the appropriate tools to
compile
it. 

Try running ./configure and it should succeed.

One possible place there may be problems is in the auto* tools ? But I
guess
since Linux is already running on some IA64 machines, then the auto*
tools
should also work.
