With all due respect, CP, I think you dropped the ball on this one: it's obvious that he's trying to use mwm, but confusedly trying to work fvwm2 methods. ... > Thomas Adam wrote: > > > > Hello All, > > > > I have been trying to get this to work for days, but I > > have been unsuccessful. Yes, in .xsession, have entries that specify geometry so that location is in the other desktops, the "far" edge of the desktops being a multiple of your screen width. For example (for a display at 1152x876): rxvt -name myconsole -geometry 96x52+64+0 & # screen UL nedit -geometry 96x52+1216+0 & # screen UR xfrisk -geometry 800x600+64+940 localhost & # screen LL xmailtool -geometry 1024x768+1216+940 & # screen LR exec mwm > > N.B. Well, CP, maybe you were right after all. I take it back. Sorry for blurting out before reading it all. Thomas, lesstif doesn't "start". lesstif is libraries, implementing the Motif API. mwm "starts". mwm is a window manager, as is fvwm2. Which one are you using? ...
