The LessTif core team proposes to withdraw the lesstif-current distributions ...

I see various reasons:

  1) lesstif-current is a development snapshot. While we sometimes also
had some obvious problems within official releases the daily snapshots are
done automatically each day. So if e.g. a check-in to CVS is not yet completed
a tree which doesn't even nearly build becomes distributed.

  2) Don't make lesstif-current too popular.
Due to 1) we do not really aim to make lot of people use it.
It should be clear that only people willing/able to debug it should work
with it. Those in turn should really have CVS access (and also the
according tools to build LT from CVS -> "CVSMake")

  3) The current way of creating those snapshots needs to be updated.
Question is whether this is really worth the effort which we had to put in
(especially if someone would also want to move this to SF)

If anyone can offer real good reasons to keep the lesstif-current distributions
(s)he should tell us now!
