Even the timestamp from XtLastEventProcessed doesn't work properly for all
situations.  I've seen in the X source tree a routine which generates a
synthetic event and then waits for it to get the timestamp of that event.
Alternately, you can do this once at the beginning of an application and
then keep track of the number of milliseconds which have elapsed since
that event to generate what the current timestamp should be, but you have
to be on the lookout for wraparound.  Personally, I don't understand why
there's not an XQueryServerTime() call.
