Hi,
One more thing to this:
After I replaced the 4.0.1 X driver (XFree86) by the 3.3.6 driver (XF86_SVGA), the
problem of screen blanking with right-mouse-click -> sensitive-menu-popup has gone.
My videocard is ATI Rage 128.
I realize this is a very specific problem:
1) it only occurs with XFree 4.0.1 ; which may still contain sufficient bugs
2) it does not occur with all types of window managers (Xfce yes, KDE no)
3) it does not occur with all LT versions (0.92.19 yes, 0.91.4 no).
