First Alexander's problem with the loop. I had no idea from your description
that we were not even getting a window on the screen :)
We can break your loop by commenting out
#define DO_RETURN_ALMOST
around line 1762 of MainW.c. This is not a solution however. According to the
comments around there, this is going to affect Thot and grace!!!! What we need
is a good test for the MainW:geometry_manager. I suspect that the
XtNborderWidth is screwing us up here. emacs seems to be setting a borderWidth
of 1 here. Since a _good_ chunk of the MainWindow layout actually comes from
ScrolledWindow the tests should probably start there. form/test45 appears that
it would be a good start for the test.....
