Hmm, your name sounds familiar :-)
Aren't you the author of some of those examples?

Anyway, earlier those examples had an external data file for the
resources, now fallbacks are embedded (i.e. within the .c).
And for me that example didn't work regardless of any mouse actions.

Recent versions are (as for everything here) in our CVS. Today
I tried to get editres support to work for the examples with our
Makefiles (+configure). Result is not quite clear yet (see other mails from me)
