Yes, the xterm -C invoked from the startup script currently comes a bit
too late. You could call this a bug. ;-) For now, just fire up an xterm
-C *before* you run xplore -C. Or, if you prefer to read the console
messages elsewhere, remove ~/.xplore/startup (and also
/usr/lib/X11/xplore/startup if you did a make install).
