Just found xplore 1.1e and thought try again with recent libs.
Not sure whether I ever tried on alpha, but now it crashes.
Location is again in DragBS.c, a known source of trouble.
On i86 it still starts up at least.

Danny, didn't you have access meanwhile to some 64bit system
as well? Somehow there's also a lack of such reports and therefore
even a bigger lack of people working on this ...
Hmm, perhaps I should put the search for a small example again
on the top position of my TODO list.
