Hmm. Debugging without a single error message is hard.

My first idea: did you compile Xbae against the same Motif as the one
that's in BX, or did you compile against LessTif or so ?

You need to understand that BX already has a version of Motif inside of
it, so compiling Xbae against headers incompatible with the BX copy
of Motif is definitely a recipe for disaster.
