You do not need any command. bunzip2 and untar will give you a /usr/X11R6
directory with
precompiles lesstif in it. install it under /usr by moving or copying

Subject: [Lesstif] HELP FOR LESSTIF

Hi,
Sorry for misunderstanding. I tried to write it as clear as possible, as

clear as I can. Yes, binaries cannot be recompiled, I do agree with you.

Could you answer the following questions:

(1) after unziping and untaring lesstif-0.92.18-cygwin.tar.bz2 (as
instructed in "install" file), do I need to execute any command such as
./configure? What is your answer? YES/NO? If YES, where it should be
executed?

(2) after unziping and untaring (as instructed in "install" file), do I
need
to execute any command to install it such as make, make install? What
is
your answer?

(3)what do you mean by "then install it in /usr/X11R6 under your
cygwin"???
After unziping and untaring, is there any command to install it??? OR
Just
unziping and untaring the file lesstif-0.92.18-cygwin.tar.bz2 (according
to
"install" file)does everything such as install? What is your answer?

Thanks

Sharmin
