This probably means that you don't have the development package of XFree86
installed.
My Linux system gets that file from the "xdevel" package :
dell: {7} rpm -q -f /usr/X11R6/include/X11/Intrinsic.h
xdevel-4.2.0-2
A search in
ftp://mirrors.rcn.net/pub/sourceware/cygwin/xfree/binaries/4.2.0/FILES
reveals that this is part of "Xprog.tgz" in Cygwin.
Do you have that installed ?

Indeed.

I think we even have two archives of the commits these days.
A bit too much, since the commits can be retrieved
via "cvs log", but sometimes the developers may even
discuss things there, if it's about very technical
and boring stuff...
Thanks for the report, I'll update it one day in the future :-)

Subject: [Lesstif] _XmStringUpdate()
Recently _XmStringUpdate() was converted to "static".
A quick search didn't bring up much available info
on that call on the net (neglecting the possibility
of looking in the OM sources), but I found even one
"inside" LessTif:
/test/Mrm/xmp/String.c:407
I think I'll make this interface public again (even
it may not perfectly clone the Motif one now)
