Hi again - I rebuilt the X11R6.5.1 libraries myself to make sure there were no problems. I am now getting the error while creating libXm.so:
/usr/local/sparc-sun-solaris2.8/bin/ld: /proj/xena2/port/lesstif/sol8/X11R6.5.1/ lib/libXt.so: .urem: invalid needed version 2 Which seem to cause the error: /proj/xena2/port/lesstif/sol8/X11R6.5.1/lib/libXt.so: could not read symbols: Ba d value I see .urem undefined in libXt.so.6.0 as well as lib/Xm-2.1/Xpm.o I also see that it is defined in /usr/lib/libc.so [509] | 773788| 0|FUNC |LOCL |0 |20 |..urem I used SUNWspro_6.1 to compile the X libraries and gcc 2.95.2 to compile lesstif. (there was a problem using the sun compiler). This looks to me like I am linking against some incorrect system library. Please let me know if anyone has an idea of what is causing this problem.
