This feature is based on communication with the window manager.
Which window manager are you using, and which widget set (Motif, OpenMotif,
LessTif) ?
You might check if LessTif's tests that deal with this type of behaviour
work in your environment. lesstif/test/Xm/messagebox/test13.c has the
string XmDIALOG_FULL_APPLICATION_MODAL in its source, so do several
other of the tests.
