Hi,
It seems that a Lesstif bug is causing an emacs hang, so you may be interested in how
to reproduce it:
I've seen this with Lesstif 0.93.36, emacs 21.2 (and cvs) compiled with lesstif
support, and auctex 11.11, but the bug may arise with other versions.
1) Open emacs with a latex file (be sure you'll see what will be printed in your term
after the emacs command)
1b) (if you need to compile the file, just C-c C-c --> LaTeX)
2) C-c C-c --> View (this is what makes the bug reproducible): xdvi should start
3) Select an emacs menu with the mouse ("File" for instance)
4) The menu pops up and the following message appears in the term:
Warning:
Name: File
Class: XmCascadeButton
RowColumn.c(3589):_XmMenuFocus() - XmMENU_FOCUS_SET
trying to set without a save, I'll save for you
5) Now:
- you can't use the keyboard
- you can't use the mouse in the emacs window (and the menu will not dispear if you
click outside)
- if you move the emacs window, the menu will stay where it is
- the only thing you can do is select another menu (rarely, you can't)
