first of all, I am new to this list, hello. ;-)
Now to my problem: I am using the development environment "eclipse", which might be known to some or all you. This IDE comes in several versions, GTK and Motif. I am using the motif-version, which included a libXm.so.2.1. Using that lib, everything's fine except for the fact that the mouse-wheel is ignored. LessTif as I noticed while working with NEdit recognizes the wheel, so I thought "let's download the latest LessTif and see if eclipse works with it". Sadly it turned out that exclipse does not.
I get 2 warnings, stating
"Warning: XmParseMappingCreate() is not implemented yet!"
I see the eclipse-splash-screen for about 5 minutes and eclipse crashing afterwards, after producing a heavy load in the meanwhile.
My System is a Debian Woody Linux, lesstif version is 0.93.36.
My question is now: Is this a known problem, or even already fixed in the CVS-Version? Or do I have to accept the ignorance of the mouse-wheel and work with the motif-lib shipped with eclipse?
(The current openmotif lib works, but ignores the wheel as well - and I got fairly used to this little thing... ;-) )
I looked through this mailing list's archive but haven't found a similar problem, so I decided to post it now.
Thanks in advance.
MfG / Sincerely Volkmar Seifert
