You can't, and the lesstif camp have _never_ claimed more than _source_
compatible, which is hard enough to accomplish!!! Most times that we, at least
I still consider myself part of we, have broken binary compatibility with
lesstif versions is to keep the .so numbers consistent with the motif numbers,
and there have been many disscussions as to which is the better approach.
Bottom line is that you are not going to make every one happy, and the only
ones you hear from is that ones that you make unhappy. So, deal with it. If you
don't like it, submit a patch that makes _everyone_ happy. Been there, done
that, wish you luck .... You're still doing a great job Danny ....
