No it does not! Just because one application changes the way things work, it is not a good generalisation to make the assumption that the libraries "must be out of date". Thanks to the work of some very skilled people here, I have managed to compile motif applications that were originally built against libc4 -- and that *is* going back somewhat. Conversley, I have compiled very recent applications against the lesstif libraries, a huge case in point is "antiright" which extends 'mwm' which is what these people also built. Motif is by no means dead. It might have been overshadowed by other widget sets/bindings such as Qt and GTK, but so what? I *love* motif, and so I *love* lesstif. With respect to Amaya, that was clearly a conscious descision by the developers of that application, so you really need to ask them or check the CHANGELOG files to find out what happened.
