Here are a few ideas hopefully for something a little different.
 
Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies
1-1/2 Cups flour
1 Cup sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
**Sift together above ingredients into bowl.
 
3/4 Cup margarine
**Cut in until crumbly.
 
1 egg, beaten
1 cup mashed bananas
1-3/4 quick oatmeal
3/4 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts
**Add, mixing well
 
Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet.  Bake 350º for 8-10 minutes.
Makes about 5-6 dozen
 
Lemon Whippersnaps
18 oz lemon cake mix
2 cups cool whip
1 egg, beaten
** Mix together.  Drop from spoon into powdered sugar and roll to coat.
Place on greased cookie sheet.  Bake at 350º for about 10 minutes. 
Makes about 3 dozen.  If you whipped topping doesn't make your batter
stiff you can add some flour to stiffen it up.
 
 
Cucumber Spread Sandwiches
8 oz cream cheese, softened
**Beat until creamy
 
1 medium cucumber, finely chopped
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 drops hot pepper sauce
dash of salt
a little mayo to mix
**I chop my cucumber and onion in my little Black & Decker chopped.  It makes it
very fine.  Stir together with enough mayo to make desired spreading consistency.
Spread on thinly sliced bread without crusts.
 
 
Italian TV Mix
2 cups peanuts
2 cups chow mein noodles
2 cups Corn Chex
2 cups pretzel
**Mix together in large glass bow.  Set aside.
 
1/4 cup butter
2 tbsp dry spaghetti sauce mix
**Combine in glass measuring cup.  Microwave on high for 45 seconds.  Pour over mixture
in bowl and toss until evenly mixed.  Microwave at 30% power for 7-8 minutes until toasted
and heated through, stirring twice during cooking.
 
2 tbsp Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
** Sprinkle over mixture.  Cool.  Store in air tight container.
 
Makes about 8 cups
