Package: letsencrypt Version: 0.1.1-3 Severity: normal Tags: ipv6 upstream Dear maintainer,
while trying to obtain a letsencrypt certificate on an IPv6-only the
only result is:
Failed authorization procedure. ipv6only.my.domain (http-01):
urn:acme:error:unknownHost :: The server could not resolve a domain name :: No
IPv4 addresses found for ipv6only.my.domain
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- The following 'urn:acme:error:unknownHost' errors were reported by
the server:
Domains: ipv6only.my.domain
Error: The server could not resolve a domain name
Since experimenting with new concepts like letsencrypt will be happening
more likely on IPv6-enabled (and potentially IPv6-only) hosts, it'd be
nice if there would be a workaround/fix to get this flying.
TIA!
Cheers,
Kilian
P.S.: yes, the hostname was edited and I have tried with a public FQDN
that's IPv6-only
