For the record, backports bugs are not supposed to be filed in bugs.debian.org, because the backports maintainers may be different than the general maintainers [1]. (In this particular case, we're the same group of people, but that's not something you can rely on!) In the future, you should file bugs against backports packages by emailing [email protected].
