I see nothing special about the GSM networks in Ghana. While i was in Nigeria everyone was saying that GSM services in Ghana were the bomb and that we were being cheated in Nigeria. Well, I've been in Ghana for about two months now and i can see that this is not the case. Nigerian networks are far more advanced than most of the networks here in Ghana (except Spacefone, which is an international network). For example, the network i use, Buzz, only started per second billing last month! Also I've noticed that when sending text to Nigerian networks from Buzz, it's a touch and go thing. Sometimes it goes and sometimes it doesn't and whether the text is delivered or not, you're billed for it. And don't even talk about international calls. I've called Nigeria twice from my Buzz set, and swore i will never do it again. The voice quality is so bad! Also, most Ghanaians don't even know how much the networks charge for calls or texts. They just spend and when they're units are gone they load more units. Unlike the typical Nigerian who will fight tooth and nail if he realizes his credit is less by 1kobo! So, you people should stop using Ghana GSM networks as a positive example, i got much better service from my Econet line.

My Brother,

That is ur opinion. But if I must comment they all have their
tricks. And they are still ripping us off silly. Just take a
trip to Ghana or the Gambia.

Hi,

Well done on the task of accomplishing the polls for the Best
GSM Network in Nigeria. But if you ask most average Nigerians,
they will tell you that of all the Networks, Vmobile is the
best. Especially in the area of quality of service, instant
access to Network and low rate of call drops and low pricing. I
give it to Vmobile.

However, well done!
