Thats not just a fraudulent practice, it is also criminal. Thanks for pointing it out. However, there another dimension to this criminal activity viz: having "stolen" your credits Starcomms will bar you from recieving calls within a week. If out of annoyance or protest you refuse to load another credit for a long while, Starcomms will send you an obnoxious text message threathening you to "recharge now or lose your number forever"
Someone should please tell Starcomm to grow up. You cant steal credit and steal a line. For crying out out some of us bought the line when it was a whooping N21,000. Moreover, when u have a GSM line to maintain, it is easier to buy N500 cards for a landline, unfortunately Starcomms strategists are yet to see that.

I can relunctanlty forgo the stolen credits, but if they steal my line (number), I wont take it easy!

Dear Mr. Sagai and others,

One of the active members on our forum at Nairaland.com, reports:
"If I load my Starcomms' landline (LSP 3000) with N1000 credit, that gives me 15 days access to make calls, provided I did not exhaust the credits before the end of the 15 days.  What currently happens now is that if I failed to recharge my phone by the 15th day, all remaining credits on the phone will be wiped out by Starcomms the following day."

I thought you might be interested in this story, titled 'Starcomms' Credit-Eating Fraud ', which is available at: http://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-326.0.html.
