Thanks Keith. In my case I'm using WebSTAR, but using listserv%domain.com works great! I used to use an asterisk ("*") with WebSTAR 4, but that no longer works...

Thx again!

Tom

Hi all,

I'm attempting to set up LR4.05b3 on OS9.2.2. I can't get LR to work with our mail server:

Our mail server needs a fully qualified account name such as [EMAIL PROTECTED], but the actual server is at mail.domain.com. When I put these two entries in the server settings, LR tries to log on with [EMAIL PROTECTED]@mail.domain.com which of course is invalid.

Going back to server settings, and I see that my entries have been modified to
account=listserv and
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

domain.com and mail.domain.com are two different machines (different IPs). There is no 'friendly' account name, it MUST be the full email address. This is why current email client programs have separate entries for username AND host. It's also why I am (finally) trying to upgrade from LR3 to 4!!!

Surprised no one has written you already but what works for me is;
account =  listserv%somedomain.com
server  =  mail.differentdomain.com

An email server such as EIMS will accept either % or @ as the demarcation between account and domain served.
