I shouldn't assume you write everything; people do the same for me. :-) FYI, Sophisticated Circuits lists LetterRip Pro as a product that supports this protocol, with a link and everything: <http://www.sophisticated.com/about/partners.html> It does point to "Fog City Software," though, so they're not familiar with your code either. :-) You're basically sending an Apple event to the SC software that resets the timer every so often. The problem part is that after you crash and relaunch, it's not figuring out that your previous timer should be reset. I don't have any real information on how that works, but I'm guessing it's the standard hoo-doo about new process serial numbers for new copies and all that. The SDK appears to be at <ftp://ftp.sophisticated.com/mac/rebound_plug-ins_&_sdk_111.sit>. On a brief glance, it looks like you may have to store some kind of timer reference in the prefs file and zero it on a legitimate quit, and on launch, if it's non-zero, use it to close out the timer. Just a guess, tho. Thanks for the syntax on the AppleScript stuff - should I have found that on the Web or in the docs somewhere? If not, I'd suggest it'd be a good addition. -- Matt Deatherage <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <http://www.macjournals.com> I read this list in digest mode; copy me privately for faster responses -- This message is from the Letterrip-Talk Mailing list.
