I just started getting this error:
the connection was refused by the remote host (-32002)
whenever LR4 tries to send emails. My outgoing queue is starting to fill up.
I applied the upgrade yesterday of 4.06, and ran the
Launch_LetterRip_Server.app first, but maybe it didn't take? Did I miss
another step?
Is this all servers or just a particular server?
I think I found the problem. Although I don't understand why it would be a
cause. There were some bad addresses in the mailing list. Within 2-3 minutes
of LR starting up it would display a message saying it would add host xx.xx
to the 'don't send to list' (I'm paraphrasing, I can get the actual verbage
if you need it). Those added hosts were the bad addresses in the mailing
list. I removed all the bad addresses, deleted the index, and now it appears
to be running okay again. (But I admit I have not checked it yet this
morning.)
A bad address will keep files in the queue for up to 24 hours. This is
the way that Letterrip is designed.
It really isn't a good idea to delete the index file though. The result
of that will be that all items in the queue will be deleted.
