it definitely must be the combination of 4.07 *and* the 10.5.1 the
machine shipped with.
anyone else doing the 4.07 on Intel *and* 10.5.1 combo?
i tried downgrading to a 10.4 series (10.4.7 i think it was) using a
mini install disc from an older mini (1.66 Core Duo vs. 1.83 Core 2
Duo on the new machine) but the installer was not compatible... and
that was the only disc i had around that seemed like it might be
vaguely compatible. so i pretty much had to use the included 10.5.1.
