Backscatter is becoming more of a problem, and I can only see it getting worse. I'm sure that programming LR to compare the domains of From: and Reply-To: headers (or something similar) would be a pain, so: is there a way to turn OFF 1) the -on and -off addresses and 2) the "not allowed to post" responses?

I'm thinking that if there is *not* a way to do the former, that adding a From: "-on@" to the Rejection strings might be a work- around, but I can't think of a way to take care of the latter.

Either way, I think I'm going to go for the former (if that would actually eat those messages) and just set up web forms that send a subscribe listname message to the Requests address, as what's really getting bombarded is the -on and -off...usually with something virus- laden, which then ends up being sent (truncated though it is, it's still recognizable) to spam traps, etc.

Advice, tricks, etc., welcome!

Be consistent; when the worshiper has become attuned to the 'dialect' of
the Divine Service, he will become impatient or confused if he finds
     it being incessantly changed.
