THE FIGHT AGAINST CYBERCRIME AND ELECTRONIC EVIDENCE TRAINING SEMINAR

A project within the framework of the Criminal Justice 2007 JPEN Programme

Teutas.it, Associazione Nautilus, Cybex and the European Commission have the
pleasure to invite you to attend the training seminar of the European
Certificate on Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence (ECCE) - Basic level for
Judges, Lawyers and Prosecutors, which will be held in Florence (aula magna
Master in Multimedia of The University of Florence, c/o RAI Toscana, Largo
Alcide De Gasperi 1), on 26-29 october 2009.

The aim of the ECCE project is to create the first European Certificate on
the fight against Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence intended for the
exclusive use of legal professionals ? judges, prosecutors and lawyers. Its
purpose is to provide you with theoretical and practical skills as well as
with legal and technical knowledge on cybercrime and the electronic
evidence.

The course, financed by the European Commission, is free.

During the four days full-time course (each day includes eight hours of
training), the programme will include a comprehensive approach on the
existing framework regarding cybercrime and electronic evidence allowing all
the participants of these specialised training seminars to acquire a
combination of technical awareness and an exhaustive knowledge about these
issues.

The courses will be delivered by a group of international experts composed
of legal professionals and computing engineers, experts on cybercrime and
the use of electronic evidence, in accordance with their field of expertise.

Participants who pass the case studies and the final evaluation will be
granted with the first European Certificate on Cybercrime and Electronic
Evidence, attesting the acquisition of Basic-level knowledge on electronic
evidence and cybercrime issues.

In order to enhance the quality of the training programme as well as the
value and recognition of the certificate, the graduation from the European
Certificate on Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence training programme is
subject to some conditions: you will need to have followed the 80% of the
total time of the taught courses in order to obtain the attendance
certificate. In addition, you will be evaluated with case studies throughout
the seminar and you will have to submit a final assessment in order to
obtain the European Certificate on Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence.

It is important to know that the courses and training materials will be
delivered in English. For that reason, trainees are expected to have a
proficient English level.

Registration to the ECCE seminar is free and you can apply through an e-form
that can be downloaded from the web page of the European project
(http://www.cybex.es/ecce/es/appform.pdf ) as well as from Teutas.it website
(see the attachments to this post) and sent to <mailto:brogi(at)teutas.it>
brogi(at)teutas.it. or fax +39 055 55 21 012.

The final objective of this common European training schedule created for
legal professionals is to help promoting judicial cooperation and thus
contribute to strengthen a genuine European area of Justice on the basis of
mutual recognition and trust.
