Well, if it failed in pass 2, then one would imagine it should have failed in
pass 2 too. Flex is listed as a dependency in pass 1, hence is required to be
installed on the host prior to building LFS. This may be a bug on the LiveCD,
though it's development is fairly rapid so may have been fixed already.
