The statement that this also applies to non-UTF-8 case was wrong, actually a
result of mixing the console script without UTF-8 support with /etc/inittab
without the \033(K escape sequence. Sorry for the noise.
LFS-6.1 doesn't need fixing. Thanks to Jim Gifford for insisting on
verification of this bug.
